Meet the Visionary Behind Blueprinted for Black Women (BPBW)

Joan Bolden is the founder and visionary behind BluePrinted for Black Women, a  platform created to educate, inspire, empower, and celebrate the excellence, resilience, beauty, and brilliance of Black women everywhere.

A dedicated professional with more than 32 years of public service experience, Joan built a career grounded in leadership, commitment, professionalism, and perseverance. Throughout her journey, she continued to pursue education, personal growth, and professional development while balancing the realities and challenges that many women, especially Black women, often face in both life and the workplace.

After experiencing personal and professional obstacles that tested her strength, resilience, and voice, Joan was inspired to create a space where Black women could feel seen, valued, encouraged, and empowered. What began as a vision rooted in pain, perseverance, and purpose evolved into BluePrinted for Black Women,  a platform designed to uplift women through education, motivation, visibility, storytelling, and community connection.

Through educational features, motivational content, scholarship initiatives, and powerful conversations, Joan is committed to highlighting the contributions, stories, and impact of Black women while creating opportunities to inspire future generations.

Her vision is rooted in one belief:

“Black women were never an afterthought. We were always part of the blueprint.”

Driven by purpose and built on legacy, BluePrinted for Black Women continues to grow as a digital space dedicated to visibility, inspiration, empowerment, and impact.
